Today we are spotlighting the incredibly talented Stephanie Fay of Stephanie Fay Photography. Not only is she one of the sweetest people ever, her images are so natural and really capture a couple’s personality in every shot. Stephanie’s husband, Stephen, is her second shooter and you couldn’t find a better team! Here are a few details about Stephanie:
Outstanding Occasions: If you weren’t a fabulous photographer, what other profession could you see yourself in?
Stephanie: If I weren’t a wedding photographer, I would probably still be involved in the wedding industry somehow. I would probably want to work along the lines of a wedding planner. I just love being able to work with brides and help them pull together their vision for their wedding day. There is just something so special about weddings and I love being a part of them! One other random profession I can see myself in is being a Dietitian. I attended ASU as a freshman and actually began my major in Nutrition. Towards the end of my four years in college, I ended up majoring in Photography and found my passion in photos. Although I don’t know what the future will hold, I might go back to school and get another degree in nutrition and help those that need more knowledge on how to live a healthy lifestyle. It’s amazing how much we DON’T know about our bodies and what we SHOULD be eating.
Outstanding Occasions: Have you ever had a surprise birthday party? How did it make you feel?
Stephanie: Yes I have! My parents threw me a surprise birthday party for my 21st birthday. It was amazing! I was completely surprised and overwhelmed by how many people came to help me celebrate! I think surprise birthday parties are wonderful, because it really makes someone feel special and loved. It’s a great way to bring family and friends together!
Outstanding Occasions: Share a random fact about yourself.
Stephanie: I am still best friends with five girls I met in elementary school. It’s been such an amazing journey with these girls!
Outstanding Occasions: Where do you fall in birth order in your family? Do you think this has played a role in the development of your personality?
Stephanie: I am the second child and the youngest. I definitely think being the youngest has played a role in my personality. I have read that the youngest has more of a “free spirit” and typically is a “go getter”. I would say this is DEFINITELY my personality. Although I see myself at times as type “A” I do sometimes carry characteristics of a first child within my business but for the most part, I definitely am social and love being around people!
