Outstanding Opportunities

If you are interested in joining our team:
We hire smart, creative, detail-oriented individuals with great communication skills.  You must have the ability to work within a team, but be a self-starter, and be able to think quick under pressure. Applicants must be ready to listen and learn as well as teach and motivate and should be ready to deliver great customer service. Remember, we produce Outstanding weddings and events and have Outstanding clients, so we are looking for Outstanding team members.

Internships:
If you are interested in our fall 2010 internship and will be a senior in college, please email interns{at}outstanding-occasions{dot}com with Fall 2010 Intern Applicant in the subject line with your resume attached and also include why you would like to work for our company. We work in a creative industry, so please take the opportunity to knock our socks off when submitting your resume and information.

NOTE: We only accept college seniors attending schools that require an internship in order to graduate and that will give the student college credit upon successful completion of the internship.  Please do NOT apply if you are not a college senior or if you will not receive credit for your internship.  Tourism and Recreation majors (or similar majors) are preferred.

Associates:
We do not currently have any associate or senior associate positions available.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not call us to inquire about employment opportunities. We will only accept resumes that are EMAILED to us. If you can’t pay attention to this important detail, we will not hire you.

If you want to learn from the Outstanding team:
Want to learn from the owners of Outstanding Occasions?  We are offering mentorships for those who own or want to own their own wedding and event planning company, but need help starting or advancing their company.  If you are interested in this opportunity, please email mentorship{at}outstanding-occasions{dot}com with Mentorship Applicant in the subject line.

Our Outstanding Mentorships begin again in January 2010.  (NOTE:  Mentorships are NOT the same as internships. They require that you pay us!)

Mentee prerequisites:
college degree AND
a desire to be a full time event planner

Each Outstanding Mentorship consists of ten weeks.  The mentee will meet in-person (in Phoenix, Arizona) or via Skype with the owners of Outstanding Occasions weekly or bi-weekly (based on preference and availability) for one hour sessions.  Assignments will be scheduled and tasks will be due at each meeting.  We only have a limited number of mentorships available for each ten week period.  The prospective mentees are given a questionnaire to fill out to evaluate what services they desire and that we believe would be most beneficial to them.  We will conclude the mentorship with a final wrap-up session.  The mentorship investment begins at $2550 for novice planners and $4550 for advanced mentorships.
