Thank you…two simple words that are not used enough. In the spirit of this Thanksgiving month, we wanted to remind you to give thanks to the wonderful event pros that you work with and to the amazing clients that keep you in business.
Say THANK YOU to the professionals that you work with daily. Let them know you care.
1. Say thank you when wedding pros send you a proposal on time, send you a referral, or just make the process easier.
2. Take a few minutes to write a personal note to them to let them know how great you think they are. Do you send a thank you card to all of the event professionals you work with after each event? You should. (Please don’t send a “thank you” card that just has “thank you” imprinted on it and sign your name. Actually write something that is heartfelt.)
3. Do you really know the event pros that you work with? Know the names of their spouses or significant others, kids, pets, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Send them a small gift or a nice handwritten note to say “thank you”, “happy birthday” or “I love working with you.”
Say THANK YOU to your clients for hiring you and entrusting their big event to you and your company.
1. Again, say thank you for hiring you and let them know how much you appreciate their trust in you.
2. Once you are hired, send a personal “thank you” note and let them know that you are excited to work with them.
3. After the event is over, send them a card to say thanks once again for allowing you to be a part of their event. And be sincere! Remember, past clients refer new clients, so make sure that their event planning experience is one that they will happily remember and want to tell other people about.
4. Follow-up with them on their first holiday, anniversary or first child’s birth. Again, let them know how much you loved working with them.
